Local Pet Cemeteries are a great way to pay tribute to your pet, but be sure to do some research into the history of the park before you sign a contract. Pet Cemeteries do not fall into the category as Human Cemeteries and therefore are not required to operate under the same rules and restrictions.
Many cities and municipalities restrict the rights of a homeowner regarding burring a pet on private properly; however I have never heard of any restrictions for burring cremains (ashes). You can call your local City Hall and inquire if they have any restrictions.
